Dancer in American Music Award '95 & Other Videos

I was just watching the most amazing performance when Prince was at his sexiest moment at the American Music Awards in 1995 when he sings Billy Jack Bitch, 319 and I Hate You. There's a male dancer I've seen on quite a few videos of Prince's that has blonde hair and is kind of hot. He's the one on this AMA 1995 that throws Prince over Mayte (which was awesome) and also was in the music video Acknowledge Me and a bunch of others. Was curious what his name is and whatever happened to him.

Also, if ya'll have not yet seen the AMA 1995 performance, you should watch it ... right now. It's on a popular video sharing site. You'll be glad you did. His best 3 minute performance EVER... shocked omfg eyepop drool3 Did I mention he looked HOT!!??!!

It's Jamie King who used to choreograph his performances from around this time. Went on to become Madonna's choreographer/concert director after she saw that performance.

He was also in:

Pheromone video

Acnkowledge Me video

If I Love U 2Night video

Glam Slam Birthday show (in LA)

AMA '95

Soul Train '94

Emancipation Day Concert

Oh thanks! I appreciate the response, was searching the internet for a while and figured it would be easier to just post a thread on here. I felt like I should have known that but he always shouted out other peoples' names but not that guy's. smile

Jamie King has worked with so many folks over the years, including Prince. He's staged and/or directed quite a few Madonna tours, as well. Ol' boy's got quite a healthy resumé.

You're right about that. I saw his resume yesterday after rlittler81 responded to my question. His resume is pretty amazing, only I was surprised to see he didn't list all of his performances with Prince on there!! Maybe because it was such a long time ago but yeah it was still a very impressive list.

Sometimes there is so much on a person's resume like this, they have to pick & choose what to put on it. Something more current, or iconic (let's say he choreographed a random video for a popular song but also staged a number for someone on the Grammys that went viral - you'd choose the viral thing if you had to pick one).

.

He's in The Beautiful Experience (noted in a previous response herein) with that same blond hair. He's also in the making of DVDs that have come with Madonna DVDs in recent years (Sticky & Sweet, Confessions, etc). He's had quite a career from dancer, to choreographer, to director of major concert tours. You can see him in "Blood On The Dance Floor" from MJ a lot, too. Noteably in that same video is Kevin Shea, choreographer, and one of the 7 Blond Ambition Tour dancers with Madonna. Shea was also in "Black or White" (one of the Russians), from MJ. I don't know if King was in BoW or not. I love that so many dancers work for so many folks like that. Lavelle Smith worked for Janet during Rhythm Nation, as well as a couple of MJ tours (Bad, Dangerous). Another one of Madonna's Girlie Show dancers, Luca, was in "Blood On The Dance Floor" too. I could go on. LOL
