Is 1+1+1 is 3 an ode to Roger Troutman

At the time of release, it was one of his funkiest songs in years. His former label mate had just been tragically murdered.

But it really does song like something Zapp would have recorded in like 1982-1983.

No, Dance 4 Me off MPLSound was an ode to Roger Troutman. 1+1+1=3 was an ode to the power structure of pre-christian Egypt

True, they both sound like Roger/Zapp songs, musically.

Come on y'all! If anything 1+1+1=3 sounds like Prince rebassing Erotic City by Prince, and Dance 4 Me is a carbon copy of Roger Zapp Man.

What's worst about these submarine comparisons is Prince was about to fill the World with another 70 Frank Zappa albums.

Seriously, he got it so together on HitNRun Phase 2 I fear he may have found God at this prospect - I've never heard a Prince album so tightly orchestrated that he had to Steely Dan himself out of existence.

Sadly, much like the actual Yoda that existed in real life and was not a puppet before him he had to fade to invisible with an open ended promise.
