Quite. . Prince made this a topic in the biggest way possible. . He also turned the spotlight on his health. He preached the benefits of his system in work we all paid for. Just 12 years ago, he opened an album preaching advice to all listeners on how not to screw up their immune system. This advice was complete crap, scientific bunk which would have been offensively dangerous if any of us truly believed in his message. |

I keep repeating it, but say what you like about TMZ... 1. it's only because of them we even have the basics, 2. without them we would have nothing but the Enquirer and their AIDS narrative, and 3. had Prince been less stubborn, or maybe just survived a few more days, TMZ outing him when they did might have saved his life. |

The DEA is now trying to find out where he did get the Percocet that caused his problems on plane from and it was also confirmed that the local doctor was helping him withdraw. If you do some Goggle you can find this information. I think P's problem was pride he was trying to beat it as an outpatient and tour at the same time . He thought was indestruable and it was that cockiness that made him successful also made him lose his life. | |

There are two ways to look at this.These rags will call or contact said celeb.HEY OUR PEOPLE HAVE PROOF YOU HAVE CANCER ANY TRUTH? The PR person will say NO COMMENT.ragmag will say we're running with the story.Some celebs then will spin it or out themselves their way.YES THEY'RE POND SCUM BUT,99% of the time its coming from people close to the celeb.If people close to said celebs try and help the person OUT THE DOOR THEY GO.celebs die due to shame and pain.ENABLERS=DEATH.This isn't a new story.ADDICTIONS dont get better on their own.You have to want help and you have to seek help.If prince reads these forums as was said.He saw people on here talking about OMG!!! I feel sad for Prince that the two things that are most personal to a person (not just Prince, anyone), are being freely discussed by people who think they knew him, people who don't know anything about his personal life, and think they know all the facts.
To use the analogy someone else used in this thread. Imagine it was your mother who had a problem with drugs. Would you be OK with people talking about it? What about her sex life? What if she had just died?
Yes, Prince's situation is different. He's a celebrity with a rabid following that follows his every move. Regardless, he's a human being, and his memory deserves to be respected. If nothing else, because of the joy he brought us.
When we learn how he died, that should be the end of it. No amount of speculation about how much drugs or sex he had will change the fact that he's gone.

Hip pain alone, of course, could lead to a period of abstinence. But from live performances during this period, the moves were still there when he needed them. . Also, if the celibacy stories are NOT true, but the painkiller stories almost certainly are, this could also open up the possibility that the killer mix was some form of viagra. But I'm not buying that either. For one thing, the two probable overdoses happened when a) he was on a plane and b) home alone. . So basically, I'm just putting it out there that the forming narrative of Prince becoming hooked on painkillers from around 2009 has another bit of circumstantial evidence to add to it. I don't believe the Celibacy thing...P has always played with the media. And where did you get the 2009 date? | |

In fact, the more we see our idols as fully human, with faults, diseases, weaknesses, the more respect we show. Because we are recognizing not just the genius, but we are seeing the soul.
