I'm in the process of it.

i am totally fascinated by the presentation and the stories. i do have all the music that has been played, but i love listening to this special program. unfortunately i failed to somehow get the file into my harddrive. if you managed to save this file, i would highly appreciate if you could tell me how to do the job.

When he played the August 3, 1983 take of Purple Rain ... the Intro is not warped like EVERY copy of that show that has ever circulated, including the video.

Keep your headphones on.

Look at the source code for the player, and find the link to the actual stream, then load the stream in VLC. Enable advanced controls in VLC, which gives you a Record button. Play the stream and immediately hit the Record button when the stream starts to play.

Keep your headphones on.

I must be doing something wrong as it doesn't seem to work. You would hope these things could be easier nowadays wink Desperately trying to grab this as it sounds remarkable.

I can't explain it any better - this is probably skirting the rules of what's ok here to begin with ... but my instructions are accurate - in the source code for the page, you can dig and find a .pls m3u8 link that is the actual stream link that the on-site player uses .. you can copy this link and open it in VLC and then use VLC to record the stream. you'll have to actually play the entire 4 hour show in order to record it, in real time. By default, your recording will end up in your My Documents/Music folder. It's definately worth it for all of the gems that he played ... especially the pristine copy of the uncut "Purple Rain" from first ave ... it smokes any previous circulating copy.

I view the source code in Chrome and search for "m3u8 on the page and shows nothing. Can't you just paste in the link here? I doubt it is against the rules and if it is, the mods can just remove it. Thanks.

I take it back. Most of you haven't heard a lot of what Kevin played. His story about the "Erotic City" acetate is a gem. Puts you right there at 1st Avenue when it happened. Just wonderful.

That gives me chills. I've not listened yet but I'm about to. Talk about being at the bleeding edge of music. The biggest artist on the planet handing you his new record and it's a hit single he's using as a b-side...

Search for a browser addon that enables media downloads. There are many, pick one with a good rating. It'll add a button to your browser toolbar enabling you do download any media from any site.

Same here. Right now the only references I see in the code are to jwplayer, with a key. It looks like they might have changed it to this more secure config at some point after other people found the m3u8.
.
If I'm overlooking it please help a bother out!
.
I hope it gets saved and shows up in circulation somewhere.. It's a jewel

Just started listening, up to I Wanna B Your Lover and I REALLY appreciate how he's mixing the live footage together with the studio footage.. It's really well done and brings a good energy to the mix.
