Interesting that you start with Purple Rain. What's your thinking? Get it out the way and open the door to everything else? I like how you follow its sombre outro with the playful intro of the extended Raspberry Beret.

There seems to be something a bit dirty about going from God to Scarlet Pussy. And then something really filthy about following that with Let's Pretend We're Married. In fact, things all get a bit steamy in that second third.

Running from ICNTTPOYM to Joy in Repetition feels right. Are you using the slow build up intro without the party chatter? I wish we could get that in pristine quality.

Disc 3 looks a bit left-field. I'll have to give it a listen. It actually includes some of my all-time favourite cuts.

I started out just making a playlist for a friend (non-Prince fan who only knew the Prince songs played on the radio); I figured I'd give her two that she knew (Purple Rain, Raspberry Beret), then I took her thru everything else. Disc One and Two were for her, as an example of how versatile the man was. I will admit that not as much effort went into the other three sets, but again...showing versatility.

Joy in Repetition is the Graffitti Bridge version, but I used my old CD burner program to blend it seamlessly from ICNTTPOYM.
