Prince's First and Last Words On Record.

On For You: "All this and more is for you, with love, sincerity and deepest care, my life with you I share".

.

The final words of the last song on HITNRUN Phase Two are simple. "That's it".

"eye don’t really care so much what people say about me because it is a reflection of who they r."

I wouldn't read too much into first and last words as I doubt Prince meant them that way...

However, if you were going to go out with an ending, The Black Album has the most appropriate:

"What kind of fuck ending was that!"

Believe me, I'm not. It's just a funky coincidence. I'm not one that goes into "Ohhhh, the 21st!" shit. In fact,I try to squelch a lot of it. I just thought it was a cool thing.

I don't think some people around here give him enough credit.
For You was a hell of a way to start.
Surprise, surprise.
Another treat. Another trick.

I'd agree. I'm not a huge fan of that album, but those harmonies on that first track. Amazing for a newbie to the business.

Drop mic after "that's it." The silence is him walking off stage.

That's is what you call bookends!!!! Really cool. Love it

Ive wondered about those lyrics of For You. He could be singing them to a lover, to fans or to the art of music itself.
That was one man who gave his all to his art and chosen profession. I've always admired the hell out of Prince for his pure f'n commitment to his craft.
