Prince tribute at Glastonbury

It's big about 4 meters high.

What do you think
.I'm not sure yet

In a fitting nod to Prince’s flamboyance, Rush has built a statue almost four metres tall for the Park area of the festival. It will take the form of a giant glittery hand carrying a purple crown with a white dove flying from the top.

I can't see the dove but it must be there . I get the crown part but not the silver glittery hand..how does that big robotic hand relate to prince?

Love it!

-

So the hand is a nod to WDC right?

-

I think it is cool they are celebrating him - eventhough he never played there...and from what I understand, messed them about a fair bit

-

I think Hot Chip (who played the tent at Hop Farm...bit gutted they did their set at the same time as Prince) are doing the DJ set

-

That should be good, as they are hardcore Prince fans

It probably doesn't. I have no idea, but my guess would be this: the hand is a pre-existing structure.

Anyone know for sure?

You mean they already had a random giant hand and just stuck a purple crown on it. That'll do for Princey now on
to Lemmy..lol.

The whole thing is newly constructed including the hand
I'm pretty sure.

I like it for the art...
Can not see the dove or the glitter on the hand but can picture it looking nice.
Maybe it's saying he is in Gods hand?

Edited to say...not sure why Prince is over the park vs on top of a stage?
Did the other musicians play there?
