I've done the math:

2014 (Clouds track recorded) - 45 years = 1969

Any thoughts why this year was so important to Prince?

I believe he intended that part to take place in the future ie 2059.

Quite a lot of tracks he covered live came out in that year, too.

Oh, and if there's one thing we've learned about the org over the last few days it's that any and all numbers can be contrived to be of some kind of alleged mystical significance.

He was 55 when he wrote that, so 45 years later he would have been 100 years old.
