Question for you all about Paisley Park in the future

At this point in time I know there have been a number of rumors and speculations about what will become of Paisley Park - some of them are great, I think, like if were to be used as a school for musicians or for kids with musical aspirations; some are not exactly what I'd love, really, i.e. turning it into a Graceland type museum (I don't know why but there's an element of cheese and oh I don't know how to explain it, I just don't care much for that idea but I can see the logic in it); and then there are the scary rumors and speculations that it'll be sold, not taken care of properly, etc.

.

.

My question is, depending on what it does 'become' and if that would be something supportive of what I'm going to ask, which is: what are your thoughts about dance parties still being held there occassionally as a way for fans to celebrate Prince's music and enjoy it together, and to keep the magic of Paisley Park alive (as much as would be possible without Prince being there sad ). There could be themes for these events, for example a particular night could focus on certain eras or albums, or full concerts could be shown on a big screen, that kind of thing. Maybe Prince associates could perform sometimes, or even up and coming bands so they could get some exposure. Any monies made could be used to help support Paisley's expenses, or donated to charities in Prince's name.

.

.

Maybe this is a totally dumb idea and would be more sad and empty an experience than I'm considering at this time. I just hate hate HATE the idea that I'll never experience being at Paisley Park again. I know it will NEVER be like it was when Prince was still with us, and that fact makes me think a dance party or event held there would only feel hollow and trying to recreate something that can't be duplicated. But another part of me thinks that, when hopefully some of this horrible seemingly neverending grief lessens, being at Paisley Park amongst other fans, hearing Prince's music in the place he created it and spent so much of his time, and being surrounded by his energy which is still there, would be comforting, healing, and help keep his amazing spirit alive in the physical place that he brought into existence and where so much of his legacy was conceived and created. I don't know I just feel like Prince would smile to think fans were still dancing and smiling and loving his music there AT Paisley Park. I just don't want that beautiful place to be sold off or slowly wither into a shell of what it was.

.

.

What are your thoughts or opinions about this? heart to you all

i think there's enough interest from the fans to make it viable that there be parties, school, performing arts or whatever. if its open, people will come from love of prince or just curiosity.

.

what i'm afriad of is that without a will and specific provisions for its upkeep, paisley park is at risk of being sold as part of the 'estate'. as a liquified asset.

.

now, if someone were to write up a business plan and post it on crowdfund, maybe the fans could buy it and run it.

Thanks for your reply, XxAxX.

I'm very afraid of that same thing, that without a will, PP might be sold as part of the 'estate. sad

That would be an incredible thing if the fans were able to come together and run Paisley Park in a way that could serve others in various ways and honor Prince's memory. THAT would really be a way to continue keeping Prince and his legacy alive.

I'm fine with there being a "visitors centre" on-site in future, but the thought of turning the whole place into a Graceland gives me the chills.

I hope that a huge media company (like WB) buys it, and it carries on as a real functioning sound/movie/TV production facility.
