Doesn't every fan feel Prince deserves a full time ch on Siruis XM?

I know i'm asking for alot but
The groove ch has been playing deep cuts
As well as songs such as unreleased
"Old friends 4 sale"..
I think A full time Prince ch would be great to have for all his fans

Yes. I would officially subscribe just for that! And just so folks know- you can sign up for free for 30 days right now.

I would also love a 24/7 stream of all his videos. I'd subscribe to that too.
Surprise, surprise.
Another treat. Another trick.

Orange Park Radio used to play nothing but Prince 24/7 until they got a cease and desist order. I hope they will start playing P. again.

Strive

There use to be two 24/7 Prince online radio stations (running out of germany?) that closed down a few months ago. I loved them. Tons of album stuff along with a bunch of live bootleg material.

SiriusXM just announced on Twitter the channel is being extended until May 13th.

https://twitter.com/SIRIU...9991279616

While I too would like for it to be permanent I hope it wouldn't be at the cost of losing "The Groove" (the channel it's currently occupying) because it's like late 70's and 80's era Black radio complete with the deep cuts and album tracks, not just the hits.

Yes he does and since they keep extending the tribute channel it must be successful. I listen while working and for the most part like the mix they have been playing. I am hopeful.

nod There's another thread talking about this but if you haven't done so already, you can go to the SiriusXM website and send an email to the support team requesting that a permanent Prince channel is created. They will respond back to your request. thumbs up!
I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

If you aren't already listening to Sirius XM the Groove channel go now. It's been extended to 5/13 (as mentioned previously) and it's seriously everything I dreamed of for non-stop Prince. Sure you can't pick exactly what you want but it's a great collection and maybe the song that's playing at any moment is something you need to hear right now. Just listen... God lives in the radio.

Free 30 day trial subscriptions- you can listen in the car, online, or download an app to your phone.

They are playing Madhouse now and it feels good. I know some of us are having a hard time hearing him now, as was I- but I just wanted to check this out before it's gone and it's making me feel so much better.

Right now- the music has been freed. (Least till May 13 or my 30 days is up - whichever comes first lol wink )
Surprise, surprise.

If you have the TuneIn Radio app on your smartphone or tablet, there's a new station called Radio Nora: Prince Nonstop.

I'm listening to NORA Prince Stream with TuneIn. #RealRadio. http://tun.in/sfqXL

Sadly I can't stream music at work. I'm looking forward to DJing my own playlists. I need sound clips from his movies. Those are fun.

Good! Hopefully, they'll extend it even longer. My "mourning" period's long over but I've been loving the hell out of SiriusXM 50. Yesterday, they played "1+1..." live from One Night Alone and that joint was jamming! Deep cuts, affiliated cuts (Ta Mara and the Seen?!?!?), bootlegs, live joints that I've never heard, 12 inch extended joints...I'm sorry, but the Prince channel is like...possibly the best thing that Sirius XM's ever done and that's saying alot. Good ass music Prince jams 24/7- don't know when or if I'll get tired of it.

I agree. I have been really enjoying the channel. I do not listen all the time but even I am surprised that they are manging to play some real deep tracks. If it did become permanent I would love it if they would play full length concerts once in a while. Similar to what they do on te Dead channel.

I'm listening to it right now on my tv and they have been playing so many good songs. Even ones that I haven't heard before. I hope they make it a permament channel

I absolutely love E Street Radio on my Sirius XM in my car and have always felt that if anyone deserved a station like that, it was Prince. Any one of us could probably program a week's worth of weekly features for a station like this. Like the Springsteen channel, there could be a covers show and regular broadcasts of live shows. Guest celebrities playing and talking about their favorite tracks. And I would most definitely give our boys at the Peach and Black Podcast their own regular show. I haven't really listened much to the Petty or Elvis stations, but it seems to me that you have to have some stories to tell - some folklore - in addition to a huge catalogue and live and unreleased recordings, to pull off a channel like this. No question that it could be done with Prince, especially when you add in all of the artists he wrote for!

I could totally see Prince being against a station like this while he was alive. Now that he's gone, maybe the estate could see this as a way of getting some vault stuff out there in a somewhat controlled manner. You could premiere a track every now and then on the Prince station, etc.

Anyone wanna name it? biggrin
