Anyway, that actually had crossed my mind a few days ago, yet, unlike so many other Prince-related thoughts over the past few weeks, this one didn't upset me. Instead, it was oddly comforting in a way? In every picture we've seen of him, from childhood through his final days, he always had that beautiful light in his eyes; he was so full of life, despite whatever struggles we're now learning of. I wouldn't want to risk seeing him - remembering him - in any other way. And maybe that could've happened, if it all went on forever. Maybe not. We'll never know for sure. He wasn't perfect and I know he wasn't always at peace with himself or the world around him. However, there is still an undeniable strength and confidence I get from every photo I've seen of him, that I find so inspiring. Every picture, to me, is a lesson in holding on and moving forward, and I've got such a deep appreciation for it.

Little things like that help me handle all of this much better, so maybe it can help you, too!
