He was a professional, a performer, shows must go on, stubborn. Who knows what he felt like.

For someone who was supposed to have throat and stomach problems for the last couple of months according to his chef he sounded amazing - I get why conspiracy theories get started because it does NOT compute sad

It doesn't if you don't consider the possibility of a seizure. Even the 911 call a few years back for "dehydration" could have been a seizure. Epilepsy is never cured and a seizure can hit you at anytime anywhere even after decades of not having one. Percosets aren't difficult to swallow but could keep a person from sleeping and can also induce seizures. Seizure activity could even explain his decision to "tone it down" and keep it simple -avoid bright flashy lights and lots of "business". His personal photographer said he had dressed himself that night ...no assistants. But that he was extra thankful.

Not to fuel the speculation fire here, but as someone who suffers a chronic illness I can tell you that even the slightest thing can cause a negative autoimmune response. I can sound awesome & be feeling energized in the morning, but then be damn near incapacitated by the afternoon, all depending on external & internal factors (weather, food--it sets my body off). Dormant infections can also be triggered & flare up without the slightest notice. I really have to condition myself, which I think Prince did as well, just maybe not for the same reasons (I know he was an organic foodie & perhaps into alternative medicine?.) It is sad & scary how things can take a dramatic turn for the worse, but that's the human body for you. We should not underestimate the effects of sleep issues, which given his "go to, have to be on & making music 24/7 attitude seems possible.

The flu shouldn't be ignored either, when I was lucky enough to contract H1N1 (heh), I nearly died... not from the virus, from a cytokine storm ( https://en.m.wikipedia.or...kine_storm )

Sadly it's not uncommon for people to experience this, especially if their immune system was already compromised (I am always susceptible no matter what I do). Was that the case for Prince? Maybe. Maybe not. Things might never add up. Hell, even if we exhaust our "cause & effect" reasoning, or if we eventually find out the truth, in our heart of hearts it will still not make sense on some level because none of us wanted this to happen. Some part of me wants to know how he died, the other part of me only cares about how he lived... pout

Ditto.
He sounded amazing - voice, piano fantastic, so playful and funny on "how come u don't call me."
It's all so hard to believe.
