His hip problem? i am curious if Prince had hip problems as it has been reported....why would he be riding his bike as frequently as he did and why was he ever seen in public (not on tv for awards, etc..) using his cane??? | |

Biking is great physical therapy... Much better than sitting and doing nothing. The cane was, IMHO, MOSTLY a prop but also used for assistance... He just probably didn't always use it. Joint problems are very much remedied by movement, it's impact exercise and sedentary life that are most detrimental. Running, jumping, etc. Biking probably helped him. Surprise, surprise.

I believe it is true. Jimmy Jam even commented on it. I have always heard he did not have the surgery, although I've seen it being reported recently that he did. So I'm not sure. TRUE BLUE |

Go and look on YouTube for 1992 signing session video in it u can see him using the cane as more than a visual accessory. he's leaning on it to help him walk and to lower himself into his chair. | |
