Your Favorite TV Special Someone on YouTube posted the Emancipation Proclamation special (I use the bootleg audio title). I remember just loving that special. I loved the songs, the fun he was having, and the point he was making. . The Beautiful Experience was always a favorite too, if for no other reason than the songs! "Acknowledge Me", "Interactive", the other version of "Come". . Also, I don't remember the name of the one w/ the rabid fan looking for her soul mate inside Paisley Park. She gets on the phone, and rings him in his office. He's all "WTF U DOIN'?" haha She keeps stating she's his biggest fan, and soulmate. It's the one that ends with "Gold". . What's yours? Has to be The Beautiful Experience with Interactive, Days of Wild, Loose and the long version of Race with that supercool video. No question. | |

My favorite TV special would have to be the MTV "Purple Rain" premiere party. I remember being glued to the TV for 2 hours watching that and being caught up in the excitement. I was so happy when I found the whole show on bootleg 10 years later. The MTV "U.T.C.M" premiere party was cool too but not as exciting. | |

Right after I first really got into Prince...he did the VH-1 honors with interactive and endorphinemachine....TOTALLY blew my mind and was so utterly NOT the Prince I discovered while simultaneously being the EXACT Prince I discovered. Totally blew me away and sunk in the hook I swallowed during the  period.Then, there was the LOVE4ONEANOTHER VH-1 special. I literally watched this every morning before heading off to marchingband practice at 6am. Happily took over my little house on the prarie ritual...wasn't much on at 5am. | |
