Help with chronological, grouping of songs

I've got a lot of Prince stuff - the official albums, the one-off tracks, b-sides, projects like Crystal Ball & the Vault and also some bootlegs.

I want to now organise all my stuff into chronologically grouped albums, so I want to add the b-sides and outtakes to the parent album or project they were either recorded for or part of the same sessions. It seems pretty daunting to me and I wondered if anyone here was up to the challenge or could point me in the right direction if it already exists (I could cross reference a lot of sources to get this info like wikipedia and liner notes, but I'm too lazy confused )

Yes it can be tricky. I would say get The Vault book as it says when a lot of the songs were recorded. There is a PDF of it floating around as well, but I don't want to post it here, becaue not sure if you are supposed to, even though the book is no longer for sale.

Even better and more up to date than The Vault is this: http://prince.org/msg/7/3...?&pg=1

It's a bit outdated now with some new songs discovered ever since and some info corrected by further research, but most of the info there is correct. Used alongside Princevault.com for additional infos and corrections, Scififilmnerd's list is the best resources available to this day when it comes to recording sessions chronology.

A COMPREHENSIVE PRINCE DISCOGRAPHY (work in progress ^^): https://sites.google.com/...scography/

Databank beat me to it. I've been sorting my stuff out recently as well and have found Scififilmnerd's list to be invaluable. A big thank you for putting it together all those years ago.

Thanks a lot for that! I didn't get an alert so didn't know anyone had replied. I have a lot to sort out - summer project - done.
