Great Rolling Stone piece on "Baltimore" and recent recordings.

Such a great read. Giver me hope for what we may one day get to hear!

That really was a great article. I read it earlier today. I love trinkets like that, about production. It gives me new perspective on a song. Makes me listen to it differently.

Wonderful article. I wasn't a big fan of the song Baltimore as a whole, but I always loved the exchange between the guitar and the orchestra. That he might have been working on more music with that kind of instrumentation is exciting.

However, it is also incredibly sad to hear about what he was working on and what he planned to do. 'We're going to redefine the Minneapolis sound, and I'm going to need your pen to do it. So block off some time in the summer.'" Quotes like that make me sad. He still had plans. He was still doing new things with his music and he was still enthusiastic about doing so.

This really made me listen to the song with new ears. Made me realize how much I took his amount of work for granted.

Yeah it was cool to think of what he was looking toward.

Every day I find a new reason to grive his passing.

Damn.

Shades of Umber is cool. But I've only heard a live version with NPG horns. I think it might be even better with the Hornheadz. Wonder who plays the guitar though. Live it's Donna.
