I actually love "Emancipation" and find comfort in many of the songs, including "The Love We Make", "Holy River" and "Savior". Prince's music is spiritual and secular and the songs contained on the record celebrate life, which is what his legacy represents to me. Even "Face Down" I can listen to because it's a reminded of the displeasure he had for the music industry that now is falling over themselves to lavish praise on a man no longer here to receive them. With out doubt ....Prince Knew ....don't ask me how he knew ... A lot of stories about him the guy was on another level ...like so yoga shit or somthing but he could see way ahead of the game...
...I just watched the video to FACE DOWN have not seen that video in years....F**K ME tell me that wasn't a man who knew what was going to happen when he past away?

I've always loved Style (great, funny lyrics. Sounds like P had a great time with this track), La la means, Betcha by Golly Wow, title track. But like a lot of others I never gave time to listen to the whole set. Any major track recommendations? Thanks and love to all.. | |
