What unreleased project do U want to hear most?

What would u like to hear most among the unreleased Prince stuff?

I was reading old threads and saw this from MikeyB

7th July 1993.

Prince records new material with "Madhouse" at paisley park.

The lineup was Prince, Michael B, Levi Seacer Jr, Sonny T and Eric Leeds. Six tracks were recorded during a five hour session.

That's what I want to hear. I love pretty much all the music w/ Michael Bland, Sonny T. & Prince together.

What say U?

We all want the stuff that's found in our wildest dreams.

First and foremost, Prince had very recently announced via drfunkenberry that the recent tour would be getting released.

.

As this was official from Prince, I feel Prince's wishes should be followed through.

.

I would also like to know if HitnRun P3 was compiled.

.

After that, Prince has said The Vault contains unreleased albums by The Revolution and The Time - those would be great.

.

But it's all still very sad.

.

sad sad sad

It's been a week since he's been gone sad

There's probably many projects we don't even know about.

I guess Dream Factory ?

an album compiled of Prince's unreleased rap songs

Those recordings made the bulk of the unreleased album 24 http://www.princevault.co..._24_(1994)

Only 2 tracks were released (17 and Asswhuppin' In A Trunk, in 1994 and 2001 respectively) but the whole album was widely bootlegged, so even though an official release would be absolutely gorgeous, because it's a gorgeous record, you actually CAN hear it.

I don't know about any particular complete projects that I'd especially be interested in (that I don't already have - Crystal Ball and Dream Factory are awesome), but I really want to hear the extended mix of The Ballad Of Dorothy Parker, and all of the Lovesexy remix that we get a snippet of in an old documentary.

Ahhh sorry, I was thinking it was a question referred to possible new unofficial leaks, not official releases from the Vault.

So I understand why someone would like to listen to "24" or "Dream Factory" when they are available from many years.

Free Urself. Crystal Ball and Dream Factory would be great, but I have the boots and they are in great quality. Id rather hear unheard music first before delving into the widely bootlegged stuff, and Im sure there is a ton of that.

For a week I've heard lots of people asking for Dream Factory but I'm not sure what they mean: the problem with that project is that a good share of the songs on each configuration was released on SOTT or elsewhere afterwards. DF was in the end very little more than an early configuration of SOTT. I of course would love to see releases of early album configuration like we have on boots, for example a digital boxset showing the evolution of SOTT from the first known configuration of DF up until CB, with DF2, DF3 and Camille would be amazing, but it's unthinkable in physical format. + only the hardcore would buy a Dream Factory release of which half the songs are already on SOTT.

Now there could be a compilation of the unreleased tracks that were considered for DF at some point (It's A Wonderful Day, Big Tall Wall, And That Says What?, Teacher Teacher, A Place In Heaven, In A Large Room With No Light, Witness 4 The Prosecution, All My Dreams, Train with P on vocals, and possibly even Power Fantastic since it ended-up all alone on a b-sides compilation and that version was an edit of the original on top of it all). That and maybe a couple of other DF era tracks could make a great substitute for DF, though without the title track it would be funny to still call it DF.

A re-mastered release of Sign 'O' The Times, with extra discs containing all of that stuff and a good booklet explaining it all would be great. Plus, of course, similar releases for other albums.

Roadhouse Garden album in any format that Prince preferred. In fact, I only want to hear his original recordings, as cleaned up as possible, but as is. Dont 1999 the remaster that stuff.

If I'm allowed to cheat slightly by including stuff that isn't really a "project" per se I'd like to see all the weird and wonderful stuff from 1986 (probs from the adjacent years as well, I don't know the details of recording sessions, but 1986 seems to almost have become the byword for the mysterious and psychedelic stuff he was doing at that time period) released in a box set, would be brilliant to hear both the stuff we've never got on boots and also all the stuff we have already but in perfect quality, I'm already salivating at the prospect lol plus I think a release of this material would show to the wider world what a true genius Prince was, obviously his brilliance is generally acknowledged but this stuff would bring a newer and greater appreciation of his craft I think and should put him up there in people's estimations as one of the great popular music auteurs, in the same league as Brian Wilson and the like.

If I'm not allowed to cheat I'll have the two unreleased Revolution albums, that would also be amazing.

the 2 revolution albums that prince stated were complete and ready to go ...

he also stated he held his best songs back from the record companies ... after crystal ball turned into sott it did seem like a lot of his throwaway stuff, which was not bad at the time, if bringing out 1000 hugz after all these years is any indication of what he has been holding back .. its gotta be good

I would like to hear the new stuff he was working on, and the 90+ songs that didn't make it on the 3rdeyegirl album, along with the new 3rdeyegirl project that was under works or probably even finished. In that recent article Prince was saying he was going to change the minneapolis sound yet again, and Baltimore was the first example of that, where orchestration is created from his guitar solo throughout the song. Pangea was mentioned as another song that this was going to take place on that he recently worked on.

If they release anything from the vault , I would like the most recent stuff from the vault first, to hear the last music he ever recorded, to hear the new direction he had planned for us all, as well as the live piano/mic atlanta concert that he talked about releasing.
