I'm not sure if you're being sarcastic or not, but this is clearly not true. Prince was a Joni Mitchell fan from the early-70s at least, and he was at one of her concerts in 1975 when he was 16 or 17.

As for jazz, Eric Leeds has never claimed that he introduced Prince to jazz. Prince's father was a jazz musician. |

Afeni Shakur butchered Tupac's music because she didn't like the references to the fueds he was in or his anti-police sentiments. I get not being happy about that stuff, but...if someone's going to release music posthumously, don't butcher it that way. Respect the artist's creation. |
