I've been on the lookout but have missed Billboard. Hope I don't have to get it online.

I am NOT seeing Billboard in brick & mortar stores...

I lucked out when I bought a copy of the new, excellent Billboard issue on Friday at a locally operated newsstand. Check in your area. Nonetheless, Barnes and Nobel stores always carry Billboard.

Do we know when RS hits the stands?

I got mine at B&N today but no Billboard yet, they just have the movie issue out.

I took a run to B & N today and it was a bust out. They had Newsweek. They didn't have any of these other magazines on the shelf. They had some of the previous ones.

When and where do these magazines come out?

Entertainment Weekly, May 6. They had Capt America

Billboard, may 7. they had some badn on it from April.

Vanity fair?

Q, July 2016.

Hot Press, may 12.

The New Yorker, may 2.

I saw some tributes to Bowie that were there and one was from Rolling Stone.

I havent bought any yet, because I have been looking at what everyone is saying, my impulse is to just get them, but I think NEWSWEEK and TIME look amazing at this point and worth it. The Rolling Stone is 4.99 and honestly seems like something that falls out of magazines.

Really?

I'm surprised they didn't put out a commemorative like they did for Michael Jackson. That was very well done.

I'm sure TIME will be the best of the bunch.

They don't play.

I'll wait for Time too. I want a huge magazine with lots of pictures and even a poster would be nice.

So, my Barnes & Noble store fucking sucks. I was looking for Billboard and Newsweek specifically and they didn't have either!

Found the Newsweek at Walgreens, so I'll probably check there for the Time issue this weekend.

The Billboard issue is apparently sold out online (from Billboard). Does anyone have other recommendations on where to look for it? Is it even worth getting?

UPDATE: Just found Billboard here: https://www.zinio.com/www...ion=true#/ . Not as expensive as it would be if you ordered it from Billboard itself. Think I'm going to just order it to save myself from running all over creation looking for it.

UPDATE #2: Just realized that website is just digital not hard copy. sigh

Are these for free, if not, how much are they? Please someone send them to me, I live in Texas, nothing special going on in the newspapers here :/

If you live in Texas I suggest to go to the local store. I bought at LEAST 20 magazines.

Then I also bought like 50 online eek

What did you buy? I went to buy on Saturday and all they had was People.

Beautiful, Loved and Blessed

Thank You Prince

I had every intention of buying any and all magazines that featured him on the cover, but when faced with them at the grocery store the other day, I was too upset. I'd better get over it, and buy them while they're still on the stands...

Anyone else feeling that way?

Yes! Seems kinda like those magazines are just for the casual fan or for people who may not know who Prince is. One day I hope something for real fans comes out.

Just saw this on Amazon: www.amazon.com/TIME-Princ...1958-2016/

I'm shocked at how fast a book can be published.

It's worth getting I'm guessing? I've got a local newstand nearby (who knew they had such things in the States anymore?!), I may pop up there and grab it. I bought the US Weekly and the People editions but they were def for the casual fan.

The Newsweek one has some great photos and is well done.

Awesome, I'll have a look at the newsstand and pick it up if they have it.

Yes, I got choked up in the bookstore when I saw him on a cover...and then mad that all they had was the gossip rags People and US magazine. I was asking do you people even carry Rolling Stone or Billboard? I hope I can get my hands on the Billboard one somewhere, as the site says all print issues sold out - can't even order a back issue. I'm going to try Walmarts and drugstores.

I work at an ad agency and we get Billboard. Impressive issue. Lots of full page ads from WB (inside front cover, full bleed image, says "With love from Burbank.")

I have a copy of the New York Times issue and the Star Tribune. The Star Tribune also has a special edition dedicated solely to him that weekend. It seems odd to collect the magazines and newspapers now, so I stopped trying. Plus, it seems like other magazines are trying to "cash in" on the Prince interest now and publishing tributes when they didn't focus on his focus on his music or weren't interested in him otherwise. I feel sad just looking at the covers and wonder if the articles are of any merit.

I saw the Corvette newspaper dedication was tasteful and let the words stand by themselves, rather than the name brand.

You can go on company websites and order back copies of issues if you're wondering how to look for a certain title of magazine.
