Who knows what happens when we die but from near death experiences, I've heard and seen people talk about, I do wonder if he's walking around Paisley Park right now, saying, "I'm right here! Can't you see me?" (which I've heard people say many times, people who have died and left their body) I just can't help but wonder. And I posted here once about a ghost who, I couldn't see (but my dogs always acted strangely looking in the hall and cowering) and one night while I was sleeping, he got in my ear and said, "Can you hear me?" and I jumped right out of bed...

The Holy Bible tells us what happens to us when we die...

too many people have had experiences with ghosts for them not to be a real thing. The bible even says that when the disciples saw Jesus walking on the water they thought he was a ghost and Jesus said, "I am not a ghost" ----- If there were no such thing he would have said, "There's no such thing as ghosts" but he didn't. He said, "I'm not one."

WE are all infinite consciousness. Death is merely the body. There is no heaven or hell.

Prince will be around in spirit.

Believe in souls? What? We ARE souls. We're just currently inhabiting these bodies on this plane of existence. Flesh is merely an experience. Like Bill Hicks said "It's Just A Ride!". wink

Not dead, not in prison, still funkin'...

I'm not talking near death, I'm talking after death. Well you can believe what you want to, We all find out when we completely die, wether Jesus told the truth or not! Jesus said he has a punishment for those that didn't believe in him and what he said will see if that's true also!

I love Jesus and believe everything Jesus says--- really, I do--- but, he might have said we go to heaven but he never said we stay there-- maybe after checking in you're free to come back and hang out here...

The JW theology on the matter is clear, and it is also clear the Prince was a practicing JW until the end of his life.

.

The question is if he completely subscribed to all theological ideas of the JWs or if he tended to (secretly) disagree on some aspects, especially on their eschatology.

.

It's interesting to note that Prince was apparently very open to the concept of the Third Eye. That is actually an esoteric concept with some roots in religions outside the Jewish-Christian tradition. In combination with what Prince told the audience at one of this year's concerts, one might wonder if he had some sort of visions or even some feeling or intuition that his days might be numbered.

.

Anyway, I sincerely doubt that Prince's interest in the Third Eye concept are in line with the official doctrine of a religious group that rejects the cross and Christmas because they consider them to be pagan symbols. That's why I wonder if his beliefs regarding the afterlife were strictly adhering to the JW doctrine.

.

It's all just speculation, of course.

like i said that i don't think prince was the strictest JW, he was his own man to some degree. JW's would kick out any other man doing the things he did.

I am christian and it was always ridiculous 2 me when i heard that Prince is part of JW (that was around 2011 when i started getting into Prince). I am from Europe so...u know, those communities like JW were always something that u can make fun off...

JW are pretty inconsistent in their teachings so in general they are more close to judaism then christianity, and their look on soul is really somehow materialistic, they dont belive in soul as some spiritual essence that lives after death... they think that is pagan superstitions... in death they teach there is no diffrence between human and animal.

Knowing something about christianity and JW and other communities in America (Europe is kinda diffrent on that matter), in the beginning i felt kinda bad 4 Prince and his involvement with JW, i was like, Prince u serious? Come on man! u can do better than that. Especially the way they approach Bible, which is horrible.

But when i started 2 dig out some things about his feelings and relationship with God, i was simply stunned with honesty, humbleness and that strong openness 2 talk about his faith in this secular world... So suddenly, he was never that typical JW 2 me, his spirit was just 2 big and beautiful 4 something like that... so it is with Soul thing, i jsut believe that Prince felt that on totally another level... His soul speak 4 itself.

ya, and who knows how much of that stuff he believed. I have a lot of exp with religious people and never really thought they believed it, it's almost like show business. Only good thing I'll say about JW's i've known is that they are nice people, i can't say the same for all the christians I've known.

I think Prince believed in a lot of soul. The kind that you share on earth and leave to live on in others when you leave. Whether there will be a resurrection of the 144 thousand I don't think so. Everything changes form and we cannot imagine or ever know as mere mortals if there is anything souls though belong to earth IMO.

JW is a cult created by a white freemason.
