He seems so alone...even now.

My heart breaks that he seems like P has no one to protect him right now.

I know it's early, but the vultures are swirling....the rumors are flying...and there seemingly doesn't seem to be a guard dog to protect this man.

I hope when the vault was opened, the cops were there to make sure nothing was removed. Not even by his family members.

I know Sheila wants to help the family protect his music, but if the family, who has no industry experience push her away, or can't get their own shit together we could hear WDC in a damn burger commercial somewhere down the road.

"All I ever wanted was to be left alone." - Prince, 2014

Seems he didn't mind that thought.

I think all the mourning is making some people see everything through grim, grey lenses.

Most reports from close associates in the last 10 days paint a picture of a man with a great sense of humor who treated his staff as his extended family, who had great faithful friends he could call, who gave generously.

Yes he was alone when he died but he was often working alone in his studio -- by choice.

I love to be left alone for hours at a time, doesn't mean I don't enjoy company. And I'm just your average nerd -- he was a creative genius with a good reason to want to be alone to focus on his craft.

Come on, people. Choosing to be alone is not a sad thing in itself, it's a choice millions of happy people make -- in work as in life.

He shouldn't have been alone that particular day, but it's not because no one wanted to be there. Now that would be truly sad, but we all know it's not the case and it just so happens he didn't want company.

Perhaps, I should have highlighted my point:

"there seemingly doesn't seem to be a guard dog to protect this man."

What I meant by being alone, wasn't in the physical sense in studios, elevators, whatever, but theorhetically.

I'm a loner by choice, but I know when I die, my closest family and friends have my best interests to keep the vultures away. ....and, yes, I know a will could do this automatically, but still....

I understand what you mean..Hopefully everything will get sorted out. Maybe he had some good advisors that he kept in private contact with in case something happened?......A little off topic, but I found this statement he said in a interview;"Cool means being able to hang with yourself..All you have to ask yourself 'Is there anybody I'm afraid of? Is there anybody who if I walked into a room and saw I'd get nervous?'..If not, then you're cool"....(Rolling Stone-1990)

Prince has moved on... He no longer cares what "they" do in this life. And he isn't alone.

as creative as he was, heck, just learning all those instruments, he was alone A LOT and early in his life. I'm sure he was used to it. Plus, they say fame is an isolator.

Exactly ... it is only us, "the fans" that care.

Actually seems to have had a fuller life and more friends than I thought. Perhaps they were all superficial relationships but I think they were real to him and he really did seem very happy the last couple of years.

The sad fact is that Prince needs no protecting, that time has come and gone.

As far as his assets go, right now he has Bremer Bank to oversee that stuff and I'm sure they will do their best to protect them, far better than his family would by themselves.
