Getting really worried about the future of Paisley Park...

The whole thing is really confusing and I just want it to be run prosperously and productively like Prince would've wanted it to be, but I'm wondering whether or not it will be that way. I really don't want the Park to deteriorate and I hope he had some sort of really good plan for it. What do you think will happen to Paisley Park?

Depends on his will I guess... sadly I don't see enough fans going there to warrant the "graceland" affect ... but if they said okay fans - open for three months now or never type. i would do it.

As a business venture, PP wasn't viable when Prince was alive. After the media attention stops, it's hard to see why that would change now.

Not really, as somebody has mention it could be a "Purple" Graceland. I would go if I could one day, I never been.

Prince's business empire lacked control before his death, and now his relatives and lawyers are left scrambling to pick up the pieces.

Sources close to the singer tell TMZ he often switched up his team of advisers, especially if he didn't like what they had to say. We're told Prince lacked high powered attorneys with the kind of experience needed to sort out business affairs, and handle a music catalog like his.

Our sources say Prince's sister Tyka has been calling most of the shots since his death. However, we're told even honchos at his label, Warner Bros Music aren't sure where the rights to his songs will fall.

We're also told reports of the singer's fortune being close to $300 million are inflated, and it's probably closer to half that. Still, it's a ton of dough someone will have to control.

I hope it will not turn into another Graceland/Elvis museum.

I think it should remain as it is......... a place for artists to produce their work.

I'm sure you'd go there once, but then what? There aren't enough diehard Prince fans in the world to keep it open as a museum in the coming years and it's too far away from Minneapolis to become a tourist attraction. A Prince museum in the city of Minneapolis...that could work. But the Paisley Park complex...without him...what's there to see? What's there to do?

But it has not been a functioning, commercial studio for a while and I'm not sure the recording gear is competitive.

Its vocation as a future museum is hampered by its location. If the city wants a Prince museum, maybe buying First Avenue would do the trick. In any case, if the park becomes a museum, I'm coming some of these days.

It needs to become a studio and artist development agency *and* museum. That why it would be used to the fullest extent while still preserving the magic there.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. First Avenue would be a good place. It could be part of a city trip because after all, who's going to visit a museum? Tourists! I've been to the Sherlock Holmes museum in London and I'm sure some of the people I saw there never even read one of Conan Doyle's books. But that's how you make a museum profitable.

The recording studio was state of the art

I suspect an SSL 9000 J mixing console

it's not going to get much better than that - recording technology (outside of computer plug-ins) doesn't progress like consumer technology that is obsolete (or retrograded) by the end of the year - in recording vintage is very highly-esteemed

Not that an SSL 9000 J console would be considered "vintage" - stil just about as state of the art as it gets . . besides the K console but that's the last of the best. The G console (a bit older) is regarded as the best SSL

PP may have good studio technology, but it's also in Chanhassen. Prince tried to monetize it in the late 80s and early 90s as a studio and it just didn't work - it's not someplace a lot of artists want to go to record or film. It was really a Prince vanity project.

And how lucrative do you think it will be if it turned into a museum?
