Will the floodgates open now with unreleased material being "leaked". Obviously a lot of ex band members and other people who worked with Prince have a lot of unreleased material that they saved and never let out of their hands. They probably didn't want to betray Prince's trust with it. . But now that he is gone, I wonder how much of this material will slowly begin to circulate in fan circles online. People realize that it's a tribute to him to share it and they probably don't care if Tyka gets annoyed with them.

I think it's an opportunity for more to come out, but I'd hope his estate can collaborate with artists who already do have material they kept to release it. I'm taking this as the only positive from Prince leaving us.
I remember watching an interview where he said of the vault;
Question "Will we ever get to hear the songs in the vault?"
P : "Maybe, but certainly not in my lifetime" (I'm paraphrasing)
Maybe there are plans to release some stuff soon? I hope so.

I think we'll hear about Prince's wishes within a couple of weeks at the latest anyway, so if ex-bandmates do have unreleased material I think they should just wait and make a better informed decision in a month or so. Besides, he might have arranged to release the material on a number of new albums (which as we know, are carefully crafted from start to finish), so most of us would rather hear the songs flow as originally intended anyway. Hopefully everyone takes a couple of weeks to grieve before this inevitably happens in some form or another. Nobody I know gun' bite

It looks like next week we get the wide physical release of HitnRun phase two. That's a good start.
