Thank you for taking the photos - If I could be there right now I would in a heartbeat.

I just wanted to share some pics that I took last night for those who can't be here in person. Needless to say it was very surreal and a bit overwhelming being there.

This is the gate at the old home on Galpin Lake Blvd.

My tradition is collecting every newspaper and cover story I can find. Anyone else do that?

FAR FROM SILLY I WISH I WAS THERE MYSLEF!

ugh let people grieve how they want to grieve.

seriously.. i dont understand people sometimes.

To be with other fans and family to console each other it makes perfect sense to gather there especially since that is where he died and more imoprtantly where he LIVED.

If he died in Kazakhstan we STILL would gather at Paisley Park!

how does this not make sense to someone who is a suipposed "fan"?????

This time last Sunday I woke up and was following all the fun exciting tweets from Paisley Park. Prince showing his new guitar and piano to the crowd and I was wondering what the 30 mins of Atlanta concert he played for them sounded like.

.

You wake up and you think, it's another day, it's all new but nothing has changed.Prince's twitter is deathly quiet and there will be no new concert dates. No new album and no new PURPLE PICK OF THE WEEK. cry cry cry I just can't take it.

.

These photos are beautiful, thanks for posting.... I am there in spirit with everyone in MPLS who really have lost their icon community member. How many lives did Prince touch from afar? How much pain and sense of loss there must be around the world today. Another day after Prince left us just a few days ago. I bought all the newspapers but I can't even read them. Just want to be close to the fans right now. All over the world. :hugs:

No, but criticizing the way others grieve seems like a dick move.

i went out again tonight to put another rose out for a friend. the fence is really filling up, it's all the way down to the back entrance now. really feels strange to be going to paisley park and feeling so sad. before i knew prince could die i always got a big smile when driving out there...

Those pictures are amazing. Thanks for sharing.

Reminds me of attending school in Minneapolis in the late 90's and heading to Paisley Park to dance on weekends.

If I didn't live thousands of miles away in the UK I would definitely go. My friends have been great, many contacted me right away to see if I was ok, but of course life goes on and a lot of people expect you to just feel sad for maybe a couple of days and then have got over it. Right now, I just feel I want to be around other fans who understand what it's like. It's Monday tomorrow and I've got to get back to routine etc., am just wondering how long I'm going to feel like this, sort of lost and distracted and basically still shocked I suppose.

I'm wondering what will happen to Paisley Park now? Will it be maintained as a studio complex for other artists to use, I wonder. A Prince museum or even a music school could be an idea. I don't know, just still digesting what's happened I think.
