I have thought about how I'd feel when this day came but never thought it would be so soon. The loss is overwhelming but it's so hard as family and friends cant really relate to how I'm feeling. I'm taking comfort in having the org for support. | |

I feel gutted...When the tears weren't falling, I was shaking. Good friends checked on me and I couldn't speak. At 3am this morning, TMBGITW was playing in my dream and I woke up crying. I used to sing that song with my dad (he passed in 2009) and would laugh when he'd match Prince's bass tone...Dammit! This is surreal, I am hugging all of you right now. We are the fringe fandom of pop culture and need one another. Shake....shake, shake, shake. |

I dont know how to truly describe how I feel.. I havent cried, I just feel empty... and off kilter as if im physically sick.. Im certainly gonna miss him and miss the fact that we wont be able to see him perform anymore... I dont know what more can I say.. I'm grateful that was able to see him live several times. | |

Haven't posted in eight years! Glad I remembered my login!
Just wanted to say that when I heard the news I thought immediately of the prince.org crew.
The masses will now try to take him as their own. But he belongs to us - and he always will. Through thick and thin the people on this forum stood behind him, understanding that the whims of (true) genius are unpredictable, but always merit appreciation and support.
So, when FOX NEWS mawkishly hawks "Let's Go Crazy" for the thousandth time tonight, turn it off, turn the lights off..... and press play on Power Fantastic.
