Just...speechless. Can't even process the enormity of the loss. His music was there through thick and thin, through joy and pain, through love and loss. Now, that voice has been silenced and the void cannot be filled. But his music lives on...and he has moved on to another existence he always believed in and waited for.

"Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything." --Plato

We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Stop all the clocks, cut off the telephone,
Prevent the dog from barking with a juicy bone,
Silence the pianos and with muffled drum
Bring out the coffin, let the mourners come.

Let aeroplanes circle moaning overhead
Scribbling on the sky the message 'He is Dead'.
Put crepe bows round the white necks of the public doves,
Let the traffic policemen wear black cotton gloves.

He was my North, my South, my East and West,
My working week and my Sunday rest,
My noon, my midnight, my talk, my song;
I thought that love would last forever: I was wrong.

The stars are not wanted now; put out every one,
Pack up the moon and dismantle the sun,
Pour away the ocean and sweep up the wood;
For nothing now can ever come to any good.

(Funeral Blues by W. H. Auden)

what's crazy, yesterday as I was getting ready for the day, I pulled out my Prince's Ultimate collection greatest CD and listened to it.

I was so stunned yesterday, I didn't know what to say

On my way to work now and I have to go to the station at The O2 Arena in Greenwich for the tube. People on the bus are now all talking about the 21 Nights in 2007 and I am nearly breaking down. Staring at my phone to avoid crying.

The train to London this morning was full of people reading the Metro as usual and seeing that front page everywhere I looked was tough. Haven't got a great deal done today, can't even listen to any Prince music at the moment. Feel weird, it hasn't really sunk in yet. sad

RIP sad

Last week, I sent message to his Twitter account to rest, and drink lots of Vitamin C...

I guess folks over there were too busy.

Again: I had a very serious flu and pneumonia 2 times in my life., and I only improved when I was forced to rest....bed-rest and drinking or eating loads of juices and real natural Vitamin C, and Vitamin D.

My friend succommed to Pneumonia and stokes and heart-attack afterwards..

I tried to tell him some things, but he seemed so heart-broken that even his bride-to-be could not cheer him up about the intitial attack.

He tried to bike outside in that photo, but he needed to pills to re-build his Vitmain D levels.

He was not a vegan.....People are saying that..., but even Vegans have very low Vitamin D levels, and Vitmain C, and Zinc levels in their blood.

Don't know anyone in his camp. I would've told them.

All of what you just said, and then some. sad

I´m feeling sick, my stomach hurts, at work I was acting a bit weird, like watching myself in a movie, from the outside.

Life will be different without his presence.

(" Parade" album, 1986). U already knew long before us....U knew everything cuz U were from another universe...U were a gift from the sky to this world + ur legacy will live forever as ur music, so will U. Nothing compares 2 U in my heart. May U rest in light, pesce and MUSIC.

Fellow ORGers, we'll NEVER get past this but we can get through this horrendous moment TOGETHER. Let's keep the Org and the love for Prince ALIVE! <3

I will not post about any more "news" to come.

I am no longer using Linn sounds the way he did. Respect.

I haven't posted for a long time and wish this wasn't the reason to return. I surprised myself by not crying when i first heard. I always imagined I would when the time came. Felt a few times I would go during the day but didn't, even when listening to his music long into the evening.

Then getting ready for work this morning Rasberry Beret came on the radio and the genius of that song and that man hit me. And the tears came.

Im so glad he was so prolific a musician because I feel there's so much I've yet to appreciate about the man and his music.

I think the universe is that bit bigger now Prince's energy is free to roam.

It didn't, something is just so off about this.

I will say that I think the AU/NZ tour had to take it out of him. The flight down here is rough at any age.
He arrives and then Vanity passes - it definitely affected him. I was at the second Melbourne show. He sounded heartbroken playing Purple Rain that night. I've heard literally hundreds of versions and never heard him sing it like that.
Two shows a night on back to back nights. Then he adds Perth in the mix - flies Sydney to NZ and then a 7 hour flight back over to Perth for the next night. Just a crazy schedule that would hammer the healthiest person.

It was 2 months ago though - he should've had time to recover - this doesn't make any sense broken

I was out yesterday with my dad in the car and Purple Rain came on the oldies station, I was looking out of the window thinking about how my late mother loved that song. I began thinking of Prince and how I should to to his next show in London... There was no mention of his death, then as I got nearer home I saw Prince on the TV screen and thought shockingly 'Oh God, Prince hasn't died now too has he?' but then thought it was probably a music channel... as it was on in a hairdressers. Got home and read the news and couldn't believe it.

It's been a dull grey day. I just hope he died quickly, peacefully with no fear. Thank you for the music Prince, we will cherish it. Art gets us through life, and you have helped many of us and will continue to be present due to your gift of creativity. Have fun in the Heavens Purple one. xxx

Doesnt take much to take to much in the way of pain pills .. you take it may not work so you take another not thinking of things .. if there were any other issues at work like fatigue,no sleep, illness etc and then his body is thrown into shock from overmedication and its a recipe for a possible troubling outcome .. We love you Prince please rock the angels for us till we get there ..

I agree with this, I was amazed at the time he did all that when he came here, I am grateful I saw him at the SOH but part of me feels guilty as I wish he stayed home if he was not well, or just did not do so much - but it makes no sense, none of it

Thank you Prince for every note you left behind 💜
