Enacipation doesnt either ... Does that make it a 6 album project? No ... It is a triple album ... Crystal ball , lotus , one night alone live .. Prince has a thing for triple albums .. When cds were standard the length of an "album" increased by prince and others standards .. He wont do a double album again and there will be a phase 3

Not sure about that. They backed him on Lovesexy, which was not an easy seller, Batman was a cash cow, and they backed him again on Graffiti Bridge, despite the razzie it was.

Alos, they mass-destroyed copies of the Black Album (even if, as I suspect, it was all Skipper's plan).

Shutting down Paisley Park Records didn't help, but the real problem came from "Love Symbol" I think.
A lot of money went into marketing, but did not result in expected sales.
