Please, please do touch him if that would help him regain his senses.

- Do the WB PR remasters deal

- Quit doing sampler stuff

- Release an original fresh and new album

- Make us believe the memoir deal

- ....?

Pills and thrills and daffodils will kill... If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry.

Never touched Prince,

But I did shake hands with Morris Hayes once in 1993, IIRC it was at the club Penny Lane in Gothenborg (Göteborg), in Sweden... at an aftershow, which was very short thanks to a local musician, who wouldn't short his concert and let Prince take the stage earlier.....

"I have to catch a plane", Prince told after only a few songs..... (by memory, he probably said it a little different?).

I think Prince is laying on the big piano in the Terry Gydesen photo book, at this very concert 1993.. nice picture..... (?)

Oh I hope I remember all these details right, it sure is a loooong time ago, Mr. Hayes.. he was a truly nice and calm guy..... I'm glad he shook my hand. And the concert back then was magnetic... magic, whatever. smile

At the Empire Ballroom some drunken woman tried to stagger past us to get to him but we wouldn't let her so she went to the other side of the stage and found a way to go up to him and grab his face and kiss him while he was soloing on his guitar. Poor Prince must have nearly fainted from the fumes because she reeked....I don't know how he stayed so calm.

Lucky for her she was on the other side of the room because I wanted to elbow her in her stupid drunken mouth. lol

Yea, quite a few handshakes and high fives on stage. He did give me a towel in Vegas at the HOB. Tons of guitar pics and a tambourine. With over 50 concerts under my belt and all but the first three have been front row. I even stepped up as a body guard at the afterparty in Maui as Trevor went to go get someone with a camera. The key is always to respect the man and you go to enough shows, he recognizes you. And another huge thing, don't steal from the man. I've had access to setlist, instruments and his book of songs before he went to the tablet and would never consider taking something from him. Respect the people around him, not just the musicians but the roadies as well and it pays off. The man sees everything so don't be a fawning fanatic. He's human.

oh and the first Musicology show in dallas the yahoo next to me tried to climb up on the stage... and i had to grab the dudes leg and pull him back... he was taken out and they looked and me and i just waved like i did not know him...

oh snap! at one show Prince knocked the mic stand over and i caught it before it hit the guy in the pit... and i just shoved it back up!

I've shaken hands with him a few times, had a few polite words on occasions, but my favourite was his polite hand in my back as he walked me out of Paisley Park after I walked in one sunny 1993 afternoon while the security guard had gone awol. The band were hanging it the lobby so Prince decided he'd evict me himself. He was very polite about the whole thing.

Yep. He stopped playing guitar for a second, and shook my hand at a Glam Slam concert in 1994. My 18 year old self was absolutely awestruck. His hand was small soft, and kind of limp.

Speaking of limp, he was wearing see-through lace trousers, with no underwear, and his wiener was on full display to anyone close enough to the stage. Wasn't sure how to feel about that one. Definitely didn't think it was hot. lol

People can act a fool around a "super-star". Guess I always just saw him as someone doing what he loves and he does it so well. First concert I went to was in 1998, general admission, and I was about 4 feet from Prince the entire night. At one point he wanted dancers to come onstage, and the crowd rushed forward. There was a young pre-teen and her grandmother to my right, and all I could think was they were going to be crushed. I put my arms around them, grabbed the barrier in front of them, locked my legs and pushed back to keep the crowd back from crushing them. I didn't care about going on-stage with Prince. It was enough that I had actually made it to the concert and was close enough to be able to really see him perform. But I really didn't want to see any casualities that night, either. disbelief But it seemed the crowd didn't care about anyone standing in front of them, against the barrier.

Was in the front row centre stage for several Indigo gigs at the O2. Pinched him leg once (couldn't help it!) and shook his hand on 3 occasions.

Malahide Castle, Dublin- was on stage with him- he gave me a high five (I have a photo of that!), then he gave me his Hohner Telecaster and let me play with the band (yes I did!) and as he was about to walk off stage at the end of the jam he walked passed me. I put my arm round his shoulder, he reciprocated and I said "So Prince... you want to swap jackets with me?". He looked me in the eye, paused and said..."Na". I said "Thanks for everything man." He walked off. My life has never been the same. I meant EVERYTHING.

I was at that gig!!! I remember seeing you onstage. When he handed you the guitar I turned to my boyfriend and said "Prince just got that guy laid" LOL. So... Was I right????

Hey Purple Fam,

today I watched a video of one of my friends called on stage by her favourite artist, touching and kissing him. Since I have been called on stage by Prince, I noticed the respect that we (the Prince Army) have for him, in letting him make the first step to a high five, or even to a hug.

So, I would like to know, if you have ever touched Prince? And if yes, please share your stories

Peace and B wild

That's awesome! He shook my hand once in NYC at an afterparty and said 'peace brotha' while I froze and managed to mumble 'thanks'. I also got to dance on stage right next to him, while I wore a $10 bootleg Prince t-shirt.
