What the hell is his problem with Texas? eek I'm starting to feel like he dislikes this part of the U.S. or something eek I mean Janet is coming, Beyonce and Rihanna too this summer so where is Prince? To be honest Beyonce ticket prices are ridiculous that's Prince concert money lol Seems like he just ignores us and that hurts my feelings for real sad I'm sure Texas is not the only state he ignores eek

Putting aside the fact that Princevault lists that he's played in state 51 times throughout his carreer, I have to ask as to why Americans feel inconvenienced by travelling? It's probably just because I'm Australian, but the idea of going to another state to see a show is not that foregn.

Always cry 4 love, never cry 4 pain.

Well said ,
I'm British living in NZ and thought nothing of flying to Australia .
I thought Americans were the least travelled globally NOT domestically
( and prince finally played NZ which amounts to a grand total of once as opposed to 51 times )

Prince was here April 2015 for the Detroit Hit N Run tour, but before that he hadn't been here since 2004 Musicology Tour. 11 years! And, in Detroit - which for most of the 80s and 90s was like a second home to him.

He played a lot of accessible places in that 11 years -- including a residency in Las Vegas. I could've easily gone to 3121 but money, time off work, etc. didn't always allow for that.

I left the state twice just to see him. I would have done it more, but time off from work is hard to get last minute. Especially since there isn't a lot of time between tickets that go on sale and the actual concert date.

Since Musicology?

Wasn´t he in Texas with 3rdEyeGirl for the SXSW festival? That was pretty recent.

He played Austin in 2013. It was by far the best show I've ever been to. I wish he'd come to Texas, but I really wish he'd give fans more than a few days notice for a show. I'd fly pretty much anywhere in the country if I had at least a month notice.

Ignore Texas? Sounds perfectly reasonable. As for getting your feelings hurt. Remember, it's not all about you, kitten.

I saw his infamous San Antonio Texa concert in March 83, when the Time didn't have Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis on stage and they had to use a backing recording of a bass track.

He owns a ranch here, so he's probably in Texas more than we know.

It's not just texas, Prince hasn't had a real US tour since the Mucicology tour in 2004 (which had 5 stops in texas)

PFFT!
Prince didnt tour Australia until 1992!!!

So many times he was booked to tour (during PR, Lovesexy and Nude Tour), and it never eventuated. sad

Mind you. Since then he's toured here quite a bit, and now I wish he'd stop it, cause its costing me a lot of $$$$. lol

Well, to be fair to the folks in Oz, they don't work as hard at their jobs because they are busy working to survive! I mean, they have dozens of species of venomous snakes, spiders the size of dinner plates and sharks that would call Bruce from "Jaws" a pussy! The fact that their children make it past infancy without being eaten by some beast from hell is a miracle in and of itself!
