it's obviously changed, i paid $9.20 for 2 cd's to the uk

Well that's me not ordering from them until there's a Europe based selling operation in place.

Yeah jjam, I had the same problem trying to order the CD to Ireland, at first it was €20 - I think it's €13 but I#m not spending that much on post. Where is there someone in Europe selling it?

Some people posted that they have seen the CD in some stores? Which stores might these be?

I wouldn't get this CD even if they gave it to me for free. Thismusic pales in comparison to Prince's earlier work. I hate to see him so much in an creative rut.

I agree that it is one of his weakest albums, however I have bought every release since my first time in 1982 and I'm not going to stop now. Whereas every Prince album used to be fantastic from beginnig to end they now only contain a few great tracks each time. Newer fans may like his more recent work but it hasn't really appealed to me. However there has been enugh excellent tracks in the last 6 years to put together at least one great compilation album.

The physical CD for Phase One in my local HMV store cost me 13.00 Euro, so 17.60 Euro isn't all that much more to have Phase Two delivered from the states. It may yet get a wide release in which case I will have wasted 4.60 but just in case it never reaches my local Wrecka Stowa it is in my opinion worth the little bit extra.

I'm old school and still want a physical CD. I have had bad experiences with buying digital music in the past and then either the service provider going out of business or my hard drive crashing. With the physical CD I know that the control of the music is entirely in my hands.

The delivery has gone up again? Amateur hour.

And for Ireland, be careful as the new delivery charge brings the total value over the 22 euro limit, so you might have to pay import taxes and charges.
So a 14 dollar CD could cost just over 40 dollars. Some business model! Just let us buy it off a European website that knows what it's doing. Or in a wrecka stow!

I'm going to use jbhifi - £14 shipped to the UK. I'd have preferred to use Funk4U, but those shipping costs. I was looking at a CD being sold by someone who was also using shopify and it was $19 to ship to the UK. Taking the piss.

Hmm.. ordered mine at the 10th for shipping to The Netherlands, but status is still just 'accepted and getting it ready'. Were you able to track the status of your order?

There was a link in my confirmation email to track my order, but I didn't use it, so can't say whether it worked/was accurate or not!

And also.... my girlfriend was laughing and shaking her head this morning as ScrewDriver played, going 'this guy is HOW old? Haha!'.... I have to agree that ScrewDriver sounds very immature and juvenile... but other than that I think this album is pretty much faultless... especially now I've listened for a while, I forget that some tracks are newer to me than others.... it jells incredibly well as an album... it's one of his strongest for some time. Fantastic arrangements and instrumentation... mostly very good songwriting, he sounds soulful and energised and involved.... it's mostly a classic Prince record.... and Groovy Potential is incredible! I really like Phase 1 for the fun, mix-tape style mish mash that it is, but this is much better I think....

And this album shows just how dead in the water the 3121/Planet Earth/MPLSound/20Ten run was, musically.... (LotusFlow3r gets a pass as it has some of the same involvement and soulfulness.)

Screwdriver sounds out of place on HNR2, it doesn't fit with the other songs. I think HNR2 is a very strong album, definitely his best since TRC.

I ordered HnR2 & Back In Time from EFetus almost 2 weeks ago. Didn't hear a peep except for the PayPal confirmation. Having got HnR2 from an Opera House house show I emailed them to cancel, or change the order. They replied pretty quickly and were happy to oblige, so now I'm getting Back In Time on its own and a refund for HnR2.

.

I don't like overpaying for things, so the high intl. shipping is a kicker. But I gotta get some perspective: nobody is forcing me to buy it, and although music on tap (streaming etc) saddly makes music feel like a commodity, physical media is becoming a luxury item. And for me, as a latecomer to Prince world, 90% of my Prince CDs were very cheap, often used, copies. Its just a shame that the extra money is going to the USPS and not to the artists.

'Music' (see what I did there?) does indeed not have an age limit.

However, that has nothing to do with whether or not a musician's output sounds juvenile or not. Screwdriver sounds juvenile. Prince has really been around long enough to know better. No real harm as it's not a terrible track, but it is terrible songwriting on that one.

My CD arrived this morning from Funk4U.

Delivered to Ireland.

Ordered February 10th.

14.00 USD for the CD

5.30 USD for shipping.

Total cost 19.30 USD.

Paid with PayPal making the total 17.60 EUR.

I paid 5.30 for shipping but Funk4U have now raised this charge to 13.50

I had a look at the USPS website. Shipping to Europe as First Class International Large Envelope is 5.30. Shipping to Europe as First Class International Package is 13.50.

The CD was shipped in a padded envelope which fits all the dimensions and weights to qualify for the Large Envelope rate. However there is a rule that the contents of a Large Envelope have to be flexible. Becuse a CD is not flexible, they are forced to classify it as a Package and therefore have to pay the higher cost. I would imagine that Funk4U were expecting to only be charged 5.30 (being unaware of the rigid contents rule) but had to put up their price when they found out it would cost more.

So, although myself and others got a reasonable deal on our purchases, Funk4U probably made a loss.

THEY DON'T HAVE TO USE UPS!!!!!!

.

Shipping within Europe should NEVER cost more than 5 euros!!! Why not use standard first class post - they don't have to use a courier service.

.

They should provide multiple shipping options which is very easy to activate in the ecom application they are using.

.

Simply, they are either being stupid or greedy.

.

The shipping is not within Europe, Funk4U are in the USA and are posting to Europe, which is international post. They are not using the courier UPS, they are using the United States Postal Service USPS. They are using the lowest cost shipping service that USPS offer which is 'First Class International'. They are being neither stupid nor greedy, they are actually offering the lowest rate possible.

I wish it was cheaper but that is the best that they can do.

Okay, so twenty-one days after my order from The Electric Fetus I received my CD of Phase Two. I'd be a bit bummedabout the time it took to receive it if I wanted/liked Phase Two more. But, since I was mostly ordered it for offical versions of the six songs I didn't already have, I'm just glad to see that it arrived. I do like Phase 2 more than Phase 1, but I can barely tolerate Phase 1 so that's not saying much.

Well, by restating your point without any evidence, backup or proof you have clearly outfoxed me. I really feel like a fool for wasting my time checking the postage certificate on the envelope that I received, weighing it, checking its dimensions, going to the USPS website, inputting all the information and checking their terms & conditions. Then finding that the prices returned exactly match those quoted by Funk4U.

You must be right. I therefore recommend that you don't buy the CD from Funk4U.

How to contact Funk4U???

So, last night I filled in the details and bought HitNRun II from Funk4U. so far so good.

Today I received confirmation that they have posted the CD. So far so good.

Unfortunately, they confirmed my address, after it was sent, and the address just has:

my name,

Dublin,

Dublin 2,

Ireland

So far so bad. They did not put my actual house number there. So here's hoping that the post office in Dublin are good and can track me down.

My question is, how can one contact Funk4U because I just received an incorrect email address for anything I post to?
