PrintableI saw one of these on Twitter a couple of weeks ago. It's just marketing, and pretty good marketing at that, even if it doesn't ultimately make him significantly more popular with kids. I was a kid once who loved his music. I believe it's that good. It can appeal to a whole lot more than stuffy old people who need reassurance.  | |

Is this suppose to appeal to tweens and teens? If so...it's unlikely he would ever have a large fanbase within that age group. Maybe a few but he will always have a mature fanbase

Not in the least -- these were girls aged something like 14 or 15, if not a bit younger. I visited the twitter account of one of them, takes away any desire to ridicule them. Now the clips are gone -- with the reception, no big surprise -- who would want their kids subjected to those comments? I never saw them as "HnR promos". | |

I would yank them if these were my daughters and all they had as a reaction was this thread -- these are obviously not professional entertainers, they're young kids displaying their passion and getting some exposure. They're obviously all about determination, a back story would have been helpful... like for all you know they could very atypical individuals.
Call me sensitive, you'd understand if you knew me in real life.
