the dark remix has a coda that sounds pretty genuine, so i'm not so sure anymore now

I hope it will. I don't like to listen to orphan songs, I'm an album person, I nearly always listen to full albums. I totally rediscovered the previously released songs on Phase One and Phase Two once I got to hear them often because they were on an album, and there are a lot of other orphan songs from the last few years that I'd like to have on an album (Ain't Gonna Miss U, Boyfriend, Same Page Different Book, Chapter & Verse, Live Out Loud...) because if I don't, I know I won't get to ever listen to them much again.

It's absolutely impossible for those to be fanmade: fans don't have access to the multitrack. It may be hard sometimes to identify fanmade from genuine but not here: fanmade versions contain no new element but additional loops of other parts, or weird additional elements superposed to already available portions. Those two contain separate tracks from both songs superposed on new sounds, which requires access to the multitrack.

I wouldn't like Phases 3-5 to become Crystal Ball II. I think they should focus on recent material (2010-2016). I'd love Prince to release more volumes of Crystal Ball, or even better: organized, thematic albums made out of vault outtakes, but I think that's not the concept of HnR. But for all we know maybe it is and that'd explain the retro aspect of the next 3 album covers.
