Parade tour more instruments playing by Prince?

Were you dissapointed with Prince almost not playing any guitar during Parade tour? His avoiding of guitar seemed a but forced to me like he wanted to say hey look at me i am a band leader also. And songs like Controvery and Lady Cab Druver sounded cabare and a pale imitations of his former self.

Yes he did play but only for a brief time.Controversy and Lady Cab Driver and 1999 didn't sound good without his guitar

I love Prince's guitar playing so much that I would want to see him play guitar as much as he can on tour...Regardless how much he played though, it was still absolutely an incredible tour biggrin

Could that be because P doesn't actually play guitar in those songs!!?? confused

He played an outro in 1999 during the PR tour but that's about it.

Yes
I think he needed to learn to be free-er like this tour to learn how to be a better showman.
He got to play more piano and organ
the Parade years were too short

I wish he had a live string section along with this show too:David Coleman Suzi Katayama Novi Novog Jonathon Melvoin and some others
