It was at a birthday bash for Salma Haye's daughter.

That does not ring a bell here.

I did see a report though claiming that on the gala event (21 january 2016) at the Park he did play that very song.

Why would it be more acceptable to do so now? Because it was a 'chique' environment? Because the song was not presented in all it's dirtiness?

Yes, maybe the lyrics were changed? 'I really got a sacred mind... I wanna Bible thump in my daddy's car'.

"This show is all about my dad. As you know, I didn't go to his funeral, but'll play 'Dirty Mind' in his honour instead."

That was 'Strange Relationship', a song about me and my fans. And this one's for you, David: 'How Come U Don't Call Me Anymore'.

I don't know enough about the show yet, but assuming it was all about his father, perhaps he was implying his 'dirty mind' was influenced by him.

I've always found the song to be pretty innocent: he just wants to have sex, but he can't get it and he can't stop thinking about it. It's not exactly nasty.

I don't know, but to me, it's not very dirty anymore.

Gohi

Not every song was supposed to be directly related to his father, he just brought up his dad a few times throughout the night.

I don't remember noticing any lyric changes.

So during what show (#1 or #2) was Dirty Mind played?

The info at http://blog.thecurrent.or...f-freedom/ does not mention this very song.
