Eye Know Prince can do better!

Eye have followed Prince since day1 and I'll probably follow him until the end. But, what he's been doing lately i'm neutral. A man of Prince's statute can do so much better. How do u go from sugar 2 shit. Maybe my expectations are 2 high but i'm still waiting 4 that great new album that eye know he can produce. The world awaits!!!

We've seen prince struggle. We've seen him try to move on. Atrocious at rap. Atrocious in his attempts at "modern" music. (AOA yikes!!)

That's why I liked phase two. Prince putting prince in a little box. Kept safe and sound in the past where old people belong. He's better there. Looks comfortable there. In his place. Where he longs for his childhood.

A place where music was performed by musicians banging on stuff, blowing and plucking at strings. A childhood where every sound was from friction. His relationship with people was the same.
He loves friction.

Yes he is regressining and is more comfortable in a place before he touched a synth and a drum machine and became famous.

Let's close the door and leave him be. In the comfort of the box he made for himself.

..and as we do, we hear him whispering
"Rosebud....Rosebud"

What does that mean?

Atrocious at rap? Dafuq? HIS 90s MUSIC WAS BOMB AF!!! 1-800-NEW-FUNK, Diamonds & Pearls, the Love Symbol! The New Power Generation is one of his best bands and his performances with them (the cheorographed dancing) were great, too! New Jack Swing was working great for Prince, imo.

yeah agreed talent wise he's capable of better but I do believe our expectations of Prince are to high that no other artist gets. Prince debut in 1978. Imo he was at his best between 78-97. Now what other artist at age 57 who's been in the game 37 yrs is expected to be at the top of his game now? Perhaps it's the music he's putting out. At 57 I don't expect Do me Baby, Dirty Mind, Little Red Corvette. I expect more of reserved Prince tracks like Money Don't Matter,Joy and Repetition, Red House, etc
