why does Prince never play this songs?

What is the reason he never plays these songs Lady Cab Driver,Computer Blue,Private Joy? It can't be that he is avoiding these jams because of religion? To me it seems like more of being lazy to do this songs any justice and i don't get it because many funk artists would kill fir a song like Lady Cab Driver

I honestly don't care what the reason is. After what he and those 3eyed chicks did to Let's Go Crazy, I am really cool with him never, ever, ever, ever, ever, never playing those songs again. lol

I knew from the start that I loved you with all my heart.

Lady Cab Driver — A great deal of the cinematics of the song rely on sound effects. But the main reason is the "Duane was tall" bridge.
Imagine Hannah or Ida fake sexual moanings, over fifty-something Prince rapping his twenty-something erotic raptus lyrics.

Computer Blue — Maybe too associated with Wendy's simulated fellatio, which was the culmination of french-kissing Gale on stage in its early years.
After that, if you want to nudge it up some more, there's the ACTUAL fucking on stage, godforbid... It doesn't matter the band, the stage or the year, whenever the first solo kicks in, you ALWAYS going to picture Wendy on her knees.

Private Joy — Multi-layered background vocals studio trickery, almost impossible to reproduce on stage without it sounding overworked. The guitar solo is also studio trickery.

He performed it live on tour in the early 80s and it sounded really good, but you're right, it's harder for P to reprise that live in his late 50s.

As far as LCD, they could just do the main part of the song and even if he did the rap you don't need the moaning, heehee. lol

I do too!! It blows the original out the water!! I wish he would do this with more of the old songs that he feels like he has to perform every night to lively them up

Oh, neither do I.
But... on stage?
Wouldn't it come to the audience's mind during the "Yngwie Malmsteen" solo?
