Of all the solos, I love the Get it up one most, but kind of like the solo on The Stick, 777 9311 and melodic guitar in I don't want to leave you. Prince was a big bad axe man.

Has anyone mentioned the synth solos though, is it Fink like most people think or is it Prince playing those too, like I suspect. Especially as most books say that first and even second album was Prince doing everything and Morris singing vocals over Prince's guide vocals. Plus the bit in DMSR by Per Nilsen, where Prince comes in, throws a tape at Jesse in 1982 and says "Here's the next album, Jesse you play really well here" and smirks.

I'm going to listen through the first 2 Time albums again and listen 4 the difference in Prince's drumming and Morris drumming

easy to tell morris like that big fat dude in early 90's play loud as hell! prince hit softer...less power

BUT- I'm willing 2 bet that Jesse Johnson Is THE Guitar Player Princes fears THE MOST (He probably won't admit it)!!!! Why else would He have Big Chick handcuff Him backstage?? The Time were WHOOPIN' DAT ASS on the Triple Threat Tour- I saw it firsthand in Buffalo NY. ANd anything Prince laid down in the studio, Jesse could play it note for note or BETTER!!!! Prince knew the time (HEY-a play on words!!)!!! In all honesty They probably brought out the BEST in each other!!! And it would be SO AWESOME 2 hear a shredding session between Prince, Dez & Jesse!!!!
