Welll is that completely impossible?

Meanwhile, I'm going to shell out for the Home Alone expanded remaster.
And I didn't even have to picket for it.

Those pre-druggy Makulay Culkin slapstick bloopers are priceless. thumbs up!

Change it one more time..

PHIL COLLINS is doing it right:

A 2016 remastering series of all his albums with outtakes, and alternate versions, with the first two albums coming in a box you can put the next remastered releases in-

Plus, he has YouTube videos explaining the process of what Vault songs were handpicked.

This is a Guy who "gets it" and respects his audience, Ladies and Gentlemen.

☆☆☆☆

CROWDED HOUSE is doing it right:

Neil Finn is compiling a Box Set of "Dozens of Unreleased Songs" for 2016- as he says, "Lovingly Curated", and "Looking back with fondness".

Another Artist who "Gets It".

Fine Prince, screw the PR Remaster and your fans. You "Win". How does it feel? By the way- how's "Hitnrun" doin'? 😅

Basically we know nothing except what two "insider" sources are saying. It depends what involvement they have with the project, lots of incorrect info circulates in big organizations, what you think you know is often just one piece of the puzzle especially with the reality that many events have more than one cause.

I would tend to think it went a little this way:

Prince agrees to deliver PR remastered as is with outtakes;

Prince wants to censor some tunes, including Electric Intercourse;

WB says no, you need to leave the outtakes as is lyrically;

Prince: then you're not getting any outtakes.

WB: then there's no point in releasing this now.

Pure speculation I know.

Speculation...but these course of events seem the most likely.

And what does Warner Bros have to gain, really, by releasing a box set with 9 songs ?

Or a box set with censored outtakes ? They sell 25-50K copies ? With little or no promotion ?

Why do I keep wondering if Ruffalo, Cavallo and Fargnoli were right all along??

Nope, misses a lot of remixes etc.

.

Wanna see someone who does it right: XTC.

.

Oh, and Dylan has been releasing superb box sets since 1985.
