First time poster here but HUGE Prince fan! I've been lurking these boards for a while now to research Prince's guitar tones but I couldn't really find anything on point.

While I would love to devote this to figuring out all of Prince's guitar tones on the Purple Rain album, I took a particular liking to the guitar tone in Computer Blue, especially the guitar solo and the verse guitar tone.

I know he's a big Boss fan and also uses a Zoom Multi-FX (forget the name of it). But I have a lot of studio work coming up in the style of Prince and I could really use some help copping this tone. Anyone have any articles or information or have gotten this tone themselves? Or have information on the basis for Prince's "Purple Rain" guitar tone in general (pickups, guitars, effects, etc.)? I love his distorted tone on this album.
