Perhaps he had a falling out with Tidal over the business side of things, in which case we can expect all his music to dissappear from Tidal in short order. Probably not likely, but I don't think anyone would be surprised if that happened.

To be honest, I hope he has, because I just couldn't imagine him appearing among those listed anyhow. Prince doesn't seem to be the type to be bunched in with a lot of other acts, I mean, has he ever?

It probably because a requirement was to perform with other artists like Nicky Minage and Lil Wayne and the fact that he is opening for Jay-z and Beyonce. The Diva in him of course will not allow either. It was also going to be broadcast live which he is also against. There is just too much that he is not in control of.
