Look, I'm not one to defend Prince. I'm as disappointed with the new album and his Purple Picks as the next person. But come on, it's a bit weird to be complaining about a missing pick Monday around lunch time European time. We know it's probably coming Monday (it did last week), and since Prince and Tidal are in the US it's not that odd it hadn't appeared in the wee hours of the morning US time IMO.

Sure, but logically* it should all be ready to go.

* I know this word shouldn't be used with Prince.

Even more logically: Tidal should have a hard drive with enough purple picks for weeks to come. There should be lots of Vault tracks available without swearing or in need of overdubs/remixing.

What time did the last two picks appear?

The pick appeared sometime between 12.30pm - 2.30pm GMT last week so this weeks is already later.

Why is it weird? Prince/Tidal used the Purple Weekly Pick to entice fans to stay on after the free trial is over. The last 2 picks, as shit as they were, were up and running when I logged onto my computer in the morning where I am. that would have been the wee wee wee wee hours in Prince/Tidal land. It is not unfair for someone to ask where pick no3 is, especially if they are now paying for the service that the purple picks sold them on.

Anyway, the day is now well under way. No wee hours to deal with.... still no pick. Cant say Im surprised.

When they changed the blurb and took out the word Vault I started to suspect this would be a massive let down.

He just seems so reluctant to release stuff from the vault.

I hope I'm proved wrong.
