The name on the cover doesn't matter. What matters is authorship.

i think you've hit the nail on the head here - AUTHORSHIP (or creative ownership) is what counts here - if you were to take everthing Prince has ever worked on in the studio and realise it all as albums then i think we would all be astonished at the sheer volume. probably the most prolific creative force in modern music at a consistant high standard.

John Zorn is also at around 400 albums and doesn't seem to be slowing down soon...
