Guns N' Roses Duff McKagan on Prince's 1999

So while browsing at Barnes & Noble I came across a new book by Guns N' Roses own Duff McKagan entitled "How To Be A Man (and other illusions)". In it he breaks down some of the most infulential albums that have inspired him and by far the one that really made its mark on him was Prince's epic double album 1999. According to Duff the album made it seem to him that Anything was possilbe in his own life and it became the sountrack to his life through '83. Duff states that no other record has had such an impact on his life and holds a special place in his soul. Cool. Thank you Duff for this cool book and thank u Prince once again.

His book "It's So Easy...and other lies" was pretty good and mentions Prince several times. He's a big fan. He is a decent writer although I don't think his books sell all that well.

He also covered Bambi on a solo album.
