There is Lonely an underrated gem

Really a great rock song with very meaningful lyrics, the loneliness... but very underrated i think it will fit very well in the mood of the Come album, the same with Beautiful Strange it fits in the Come album.

this song is great.

easy to become underrated when on an underrated

album.

Agreed, great song. I'm glad it's often ignored.

There were a few top quality songs from what I'm going to refer to as the "I'll do anything" sessions.

Has always been one of my personal favs. Not sure it is underrated though, lots of praise for this one over the years.

I loved it from the first moment I downloaded the thing from an ftp site back in the mid-90s, and put it on a floppy disc (actually, it might have been two) and took it back to my dorm room (I only had internet access in the university computer labs, not in my room). God, that was insane. I had some songs stretching over several discs (one of the unreleased versions of Come, for example).

Anyway, one of the first outtakes I actually had (outside of the Black Album and that Intimate Moments piano session)--I couldn't believe he sat on it for so long. And then its just on a "contractual obligation" album?

I even like the film version with Albert Brooks on vocals. Of course, I like Albert Brooks, and the lyrics just fits his capacity for self-pity so well.

I know the song but it's too low for me for more than the occasional visit when I hear it mentioned.
What?

I always wanted this song to be longer just so I wouldn't have to play it back so much, but honestly it's flawless to my ears as is. It's very rare that P. allows the world to hear his naked pain, but when he does it's awesome. It's almost presented like he's telling someone else's story, but somehow you know. Wonderful lyrics. Potent song.
