yea it doesn't vary much, but it's funky enough that it doesn't need to. Musicology thought it had the same thing going for it, but it was wrong. and when's the last time he whooped the bass like this in a song. and dont say Time. i don't think i've heard a song of his where the bass was so pronounced and funky. fuck outta here, haterz! lol

Two good songs, am I dreaming? Funky but sparse. I guess that's the new thing. You have to admit, today's music is really over produced? Who can out complex each other. Prince reverses.

Stranger

Having listened to it a few more times, I have become addicted. It may not be revolutionary new and innovative, and it may not be a classic gem like 'If I was your Girlfriend' etc. but it is fresh, funky, fun, infectious, it bops and pops, it is well produced with an incredible base line and groove, the horns are killing it and the vocals are great. What is not to like?!

I will force myself to not play it much more before the album drops. I hope I can battle this addiction.

I see Stare and HRL as B-sides. Since there are no more physical singles like the old days, Prince has no way to put out his non album tracks and this is the only way he can do it.

I feel sorry for the masses. Think of how many people only consider Prince as "that weird guy who did Purple Rain" and haven't a clue of his massive catalog . . . of Masterpieces. (sorry, I couldn't resist) lol

Everybody jam, 'cause this party's going ham. What great meaningful lyrics. That line is just so deep. I just love that out-of-date Sherman Hemsley beat, mixed with that Nipsey Russell groove.

Clean those ears out ya tonedeaf muthatfockerts. The song is good, certainly better than amusing trifles like Tamborine or Life Could Be So Nice.

Yeah but I still think it's still far better than the 80's sounding 70's disco amateurly mixed thin and tinny AOA. Europeo for grandma's that believe the petshop boys were too cutting edge. Disco Duck but Kenny G smooth.

This will never be a hit because Prince has contortedly conformed himself to trying to make the shit music that the masses listen to and is failing miserably at it because his talent is too far beyond that.

Most of those that know and appreciate his talent, hear it and are like, "WTF?" While most of those that know and appreciate shit music, hear it and are like, "WTF?" geek

The only presumed winners are the fence dwellers. shrug

I knew from the start that I loved you with all my heart.
