I Wonder U

off Parade is so damn funky... 'I dream of you, for all time' and the funky disco guitar is one of the Revolution's best songs they ever recorded... damn were they tight!

yeahthat IWU is a stand-out cut. Sly, sultry, stealthy funk. Unapologetically daring. It never loses its luster.

.

Between Brenda's low, sultry vocals--which perfectly suit the mood and tone of the song--and Clare working his magic on strings, this track can't help but be the highlight of a front-to-back, all-around brilliant album.

I don't know about highlight, but it's one of his most courageous tracks ever I think... he never did anything like it again

Of all the ecelectic songs he's released, this is probably the best. I prefer the Parade Deos version with him on louder vocals though.

Always cry 4 love, never cry 4 pain.

I ADORE this song.
This is classy lust. classy seduction.

poetry, it's steamy

I love the released and the unreleased version.

I thought the addition of the 'jammish' part on tour didn't help

it would have been cool if the song extended into some spicy instrumentation, that Paisley Park rock guitar, a guitar solo, bring back the lyrics almost like a background chant.

But I love this song always

I, how u say, I wonder u, I wonder u
I, how u say, I wonder u, I wonder u
I, dream of u, 4 all time, 4 all time
Though, u are far, I wonder u, u're on the mind
I, how u say, I wonder u, I wonder u
I, how u say, I wonder u, I wonder u

It sounds like some kind joke in another language followed by laughter. Like a group of people in a party of some kind. It adds a touch of dark to the song. I LOVE that part

My bad! I'm trippin. For some reason I always thought Brenda Bennett was brought on to do the vox on this song. boxed So props to Wendy (lead) and Lisa (background) for singing the heck out of that song. (Better late than never.)

Real Funky jam, in the veins of other funky jams like Tamborine, and New Position, real sparse but with so much "vision", and Parade is an criminally underrated album.

Ha. I can see that. An i love the song, but I can see that. I dig artist "left field" stuff though, generally.

Time off AOA is more ethereal than psychedelic to me

Get the funk out! I'm so rusty on the details compared to how well read I used to be. But the fun part about being rusty is getting to rediscover these treasures.

Brilliant song on a brilliant album.. woot!

Not a wrong track on Parade.. music

Only.. "4 The Tears In Ur Eyes" (Orig studio-version) should have been on this fine & funky album instead of "Venus De Milo"...

Still Parade is a fantastic masterpiece, even with "Venus" included. heart

Love it. Alsways have. Weird, simple and funky. Nice and psychadelic. It's one of those tracks that a non fan might hear and like. I also love the way it segues into UTCM.
