After reading Mayte's account of the strange rules she had to put up with when she was actually married to the guy, I would imagine Prince is single because he is insane.

For example, you are not going to see him grocery shopping or running to Walmart for something. He has people doing that for him. I know he used to go through a Mcdonalds drive thru once in a blue moon. ...but I think that's the extent of it. So trying to figure out if he is alone or involved is almost impossible unless you are a close friend of Prince or on the inside.

Also, he's been married twice so that may deter him from getting into a relationship again. He is famous and rich and that may make it hard to find someone who loves him for himself and not just what he does and how much he makes.

Most of his ex-gfs talk about how controlling and moody he is. I'm sure that's incredibly draining to deal with. I highly doubt he's alone now. The last known gf he was with was Andy. It seemed like he took that break pretty hard judging by songs on AOA. My guess is that he's quietly dating someone in his hometown. I just hope he's happy.
