just picked this up in the itunes store, along with Baltimore which i didn't get yet.

Baltimore with extra strings is nice, although i don't care for the song too much,

except for the coda, which is very beautiful.

Baltimore with strings is very nice,,BTW, its the type of song that may get hime SOY or ROY at grammy..voters love that type of record

Well, there's a limited correlation--a new album would, in almost every case, involve new music (unless he really confounds our funkspectations and does a spoken word thing). HOWEVER, we've gotten new music already (thus this thread's reason for being), so technically he's already fulfilled the promise of the Stare promos. Though probably a "Stare" release would also be a pretty reasonable expectation.

I have to disagree. I have seen him many times throughout his career and I think he is becoming more accomplished as time goes by. Saw him in Toronto this year and he killed it on guitar.

Why does it put this out for himself yet gives Judith Hills awesome jams like "Turn Up".

Prince is music i LIKE HARDROCKLOVER

I think that he gives songs like this away because he is very generous and serious about keeping real music alive. Prince shares the spotlight with so many singers, musicians and artists I think he just loves all aspects of Art and tries to keep the funky groove going. When he sees or hears something good, it seems like he goes out of his way to promote it. He seriously makes the effort to put others artists out there. That's fine with me, saves lots of time hunting the goodies down. Thanks Prince for all the various Art that you've share with us
