Please, please, does anyone have any additional information about this song? I love it and need details about it.

Not entirely sure why you would dedicate time replying to a thread, to simply long-windedly say, I don't know.

The song was worked on in 1988/89, from what I recall.

It was first named "24" then later rerecorded as "Kenya" for Eric Leeds "Time Squared album.

Thanks guys for all the info. I needed to call it something besides instrumental 1 with all the Prince bootlegs I have I would have to shuffle through 20 or so songs just to find it.

Okay--I never paid close enough attention to this track (or Cape Horn, for that matter)--but okay. Interesting. I'll make a note of that as I continue piecing my way through this mess.

Wait, are we talking about the 6:44 instrumental that was supposed to be Pickle before Pickle/Are you My Baby surfaced?

I think maybe we are. I didn't like that track either, so I can never remember what's going on with these instrumental outtakes. My only takeaway from that was "This stupid Pickle track is real?"

.

Oh, if only they all had him giving a title and counting in. "Alright, we're calling this Fuzzy Kneecap. 1, 2. 3..." Then we could get somewhere.

I assume it's what BigChick says it is because he knows his stuff, I'd have to listen to it again vack to back with Cape Horn, for I'd never realized it was the same track eek

Sorry, I accidently said the song was "20" then became "Cape Horn". Thats true but it's not the track your talking about. The track your discussing is "24/Kenya". The song was originally recorded as "24" then was rerecorded as "Kenya". "Kenya" and "24" are almost two different songs. The only thing they share in common is a jungle type vibe. I asked the drummer (Larry Fratangelo) about this a few months ago. "Pickle" is "Pickle" and was always just "Pickle". Someone just took the instrumental that we are discussing and carelessly named it "Pickle", thus causing even more confusion. "Pickle" has nothing to do with "24" nor is it called "Tickle My Pickle". I hope I cleared a few things up.

Sorry about the confusion.

Okay. Whew! I didn't hear it myself when I checked, but I thought I was just missing the similarity.

.

So then, this 6:44 instrumental is 24? Rerecorded (with almost no similarity) and renamed Kenya?

.

And Pickle is in fact that 3:34 thing with the silly voice repeating the silly phrase?
